Building Quality Homes For Over 24 Years

Joshua Homes was founded in 1996 when Tim Stenberg recognized a void in the housing market: practical homes built with a focus on unique characteristics and rock-solid quality. Over 24 years  later, our values haven’t wavered and our founding principles are still closely adhered to.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality home at a reasonable price. In doing so, we hope to introduce true value to the housing market.

We currently build in two primary markets: Sioux Falls, SD, and Clear Lake, IA. We have exclusive single family and twin home lots within “Stenberg Neighborhoods” in both states.

Tim Stenberg was born in Ames, IA. A graduate of the University Of Iowa School Of Business, Tim has always had a passion for the home construction industry – a field he has worked in since the 5th grade. Tim built his  first home in 1994 and, after years of successful building, turned to his dream of developing neighborhoods. In 2003, Tim and Dawn  developed their  first neighborhood (in Sioux Falls) and began building in Clear Lake, IA. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and listening to music.

Dawn Stenberg was born in Worthington, MN. She moved to Sioux Falls in 1982 and attended Augustana University. Dawn serves as Vice President, in-house designer and project coordinator. She works as a contact between homebuyers and subcontractors, and has considerable experience in working to make sure each home is designed and tailored to the personal interests of our homebuyers. In her spare time, Dawn enjoys gardening, giving back to the community through volunteer service, listening to audio books, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
